Rakia has long been at the heart of Albanian celebrations. From national holidays and family gatherings to local festivals, it is a symbol of hospitality, tradition, and togetherness. Autumn is often called the “Season of Rakia,” as grape harvests take place across nearly every region of Albania.
Among Albania’s finest expressions of this tradition is the Aged Rakia by Aquila Liquori. Crafted from the native Shesh i Bardhë grape variety, double-distilled in traditional copper stills, then aged for 18 months in Slavonian oak and acacia barrels for delicate woody notes, a warm golden colour, and an exceptionally smooth finish.
